Well now you can with Zink (Zero ink) printers.  The Zink printer doesn’t use any ink, instead the special paper that is used has 3 layers each with a different colour. The printer then just heats up the paper in the right places and out pops a wonderful picture. Because the Zink Printer doesn’t have any ink and very few moving parts it can be small, small enough it fit into your pocket.  It looks like Polaroid has jumped in on this opportunity and is hoping to be releasing their own Zink printer. The price is reasonable as well, with the printer costing around $99 for a standalone printer, or $199 as a camera/printer. The special paper only costs $19.95 for a pack of 100, the paper only come in one size at the moment 2 inch by 3 inch. It’s been a while since I have shaken a Polaroid picture. But I am going to wait and see just how impressive the print quality is before I rush out and go get one.
