Lushable update April 2008: A Facebook a Google and an expensive Pizza

Friday, May 9th, 2008

So here is the April update of the Technology world seen though the eyes of Lushable editors. The first story we wrote about was the much talked about sale of domain name pizza.com which was sold bfor $2.6million. We wrote about the now launched Facebook chat whilst it was in the pre-launch phase. I have to say, the Facebook chat system is superb, one of the best additions to social networking website Facebook.com. I think its great that you can see all your Facebook friends online and chat to them when there online, I am now visiting Facebook more, sometimes just to see who is online and available to chat if I’m bored online. Jose wrote a more in depth review about the service in the post titled Facebook chat hands-on. Jose also wrote about the launch of Google’s app engine and a more in depth look into the Google app engine.

Now in May and now neerly 6 whole months since Lushable Technology and web 2.0 start up news launched we have retreated to our old look, the old theme for the blog, we’re still planning to launch more versions of the site and hire more editors.

Lushable update March 2008: Its mainly about the future

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

So this time I’m not going to apologise for anything! Just simply explain what It may be I would have to say sorry for. Lets start with the delayed launch of Lushable china .The long awaited and well anticipated coverage from the world of technology for example Lushable China, Japan, France ect… This is something I’m still working on.

I did write about my future plans for Lushable and apart from the forum all on the list will be ready very soon. When it comes to Lushable hiring new writers we have now got Jose and Alan on board permanently.

Ok so now on with the coverage of the past 2 months from the world of technology and the Internet as portrayed via Lushable.com

In March I reported on Jude who said: Facebook friends are not real friends, I said that Sun Microsystems amazing openoffice 3.0 is the future, I also wrote down my thoughts on the future of Google and Acer axing there gaming console plans. We wrote the first of possibly many reports about leading UK ISP’s selling browsing history also the web 2.0 bubble in Japan, also AOL buying social networking site Bebo.

I wrote about the G OS, we also said that Lushable china would launch on the 22nd of March which sadly it didn’t and has been delayed but it will be launched very soon. David Feng wrote that Tudou.com was down due to adult content. I wrote about the cool customized pink macbook air. So that concludes everything I personally have to apologise for, now onto some more positive text

Making his 2nd post for Lushable was Jose Arteaga also we introduced Alan Harten to the writing team. Here is what they covered towards the end of March.

Jose:

Adobe AIR arrival to Linux now Official
Yahoo goes for Glam with a Shine

Alan:

Will big brother track you from your cell phone?
iPhone 3G set to go into production

I will most certainly post every single day, I know I’ve said that before, its something that I see many bloggers writing in the Blogosphere these days, usually things like “Weekly Halo 3 night” , “Windows vista problems” or.. ” Hospitalisation due to an overdose of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream” comes in the way of blogging for some people.

Jose said to me he had some amusing plans for the April 1st post although I think it will be best to wait until next year!
